Junior Colts – second half of season

Moving On Up
We are delighted to report that KLRUFC Junior Colts have been promoted to the MOTiQ North West Colts Conference League Junior A after winning Preliminary League Junior B with 27 points.
After 6 games in the premliminary league, Kirkby Lonsdale won 5 and lost 1 with a positive points scored difference of 125.
Captain Max Muldowney said “the lads are proud of their achievements so far, and we are looking to continue to play our brand of fast attacking rugby against new testing opposition”.
This seasons progress has been achieved through skill and a big dose of will. That grit and determination has impressed the coaches in this first part of the season, everyone is hoping that resilience persists in the conference league.
Head Coach Dean Baker “As coaches, we are proud of the progress so far this season, there are plenty of work-ons for the players and the coaches, but we are looking forward to the challenge”.
“The lads have pulled together despite being hampered by unavailability and injuries for most of the games, but they have played well and stuck to their mantra. Maintaining that focus and maintaining discipline are key for this next phase of the season” Forwards Coach Gareth Gore added.
Ian ‘Bob’ Turner finished “Many of these lads have been together for over a decade, a number of them started in the Minis. Its a proud moment to see them all continuing to enjoy their rugby and representing Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC”.
The lads and coaches would appreciate your support as the season progresses at home, and away if you can. The new conference league fixtures will be published w/c 27th October.
