Regional North Two after week 9
A much better spirited performance at home to West Hartlepool, where we deserved to get something out of it, one late try would have given us a bonus point. No points in the second half and we absorbed a lot of pressure before inserting a lot of pressure on the visitors' line in the last fifteen minutes. Kirkby took the lead with a try from flanker Quin Fogarty, converted by Ollie Higgs, before Wests came back to score three tries, a further penalty from Higgs, made the half time, and full time score 10 - 22. Here are the league results from week nine,
Kirkby Lonsdale 10 West Hartlepool 22
Aspatria 0 Northern 31
Carlisle 13 Morpeth 32
Consett 48 Durham City 33
Keswick 13 Middlesbrough 16
Upper Eden 21 Guisborough 14
So no surprises, a try fest at Consett and Keswick pushing the league leaders Middlesbro' close at Davidson Park. Upper Eden gaining a home win, but Guisborough a losing bonus point.
