Message from our ‘Chair’

I hope this finds you all well. I am sure by now you have read the hype surrounding the recent game at Blackburn. Due to the nature of the score we were invited onto Radio Cumbria and talkSport, I hear it was also mentioned on BBC Radio Five Live. I took the opportunity to speak to the radio stations and the links are below should you wish to listen. For me and the committee the result was never in question against Blackburn, this was a freak score, no more no less, and one score does not define a club that is 146 years old. I came to the role as Chair with a plan to stabilise the club, and if you have been to a home game recently you will know the hard work of many people is beginning to pay off, the atmosphere is back, supporters are returning, and this cracking young side we have enjoy playing in a Kirkby shirt despite the scorelines.
