The youth section of Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club is a thriving environment with each year group from 13 to 16 having over 25 in each squad. All years are supervised by fully qualified coaches who bring imaginative fair and originality. Training takes place at Kirkby on Sunday mornings between 10.30am and 12 noon between September and May.

While Newlands, South Africa may boast Table Top Mountain as its backdrop, Kirkby can boast  Barbon Fell, which is equally stunning on a winters morning topped with snow or coloured in fiery reds and yellows on a warm spring morning. It must be said that Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club has one of the best settings for Rugby in the UK and you can be part of it.

As Kirkby is situated on the corner of Cumbria, Yorkshire and Lancashire we try to organize fixtures with all three counties in order to get a variety of good opposition. Although we are fiercely competitive we always endeavour to play within the spirit of the game and you can expect a fair game when you play us.

Not content to just play local fixtures our youth teams tour each year. Last year we had teams visit Scotland and this year we have teams travelling to Wales and Ireland.

If you fancy getting involved come on down. Also remember you need odd shaped leather balls to play rugby, but if you haven't don't worry as Gavin Charlesworth has got some!
